Where Is It From? Strawberry Quartz Meaning

This crystal is a type of quartz that has inclusions of other minerals that create the red color.

The included mineral inclusions can make it appear pink, and some pieces may be slightly translucent.

These crystals are fairly rare as they are found in only one location in Chihuahua Mexico. This stone used to be uncommon, but is now more readily available. 

The meaning of its name relates to the color, which is thought to be a red color similar to strawberries, but varies according to the individual mineral make-up of the stone you obtain.  

The color usually ranges from light to mid pink, and it often has white, darker pink, reddish brown or black lines or markings in the stone. 

Many pieces resemble Rose Quartz, except they are darker and have various colors included.

The color may differ depending on exactly how much of the individual minerals are in the specific stone, but it is commonly a mid to darker pink color with deeper pink markings.

The minerals included in these stones varies, but are a mix of Goethite, Lepidocrocite, Rutile and Ferric iron in a  silica base making them a variety of quartz crystal.
